In the year 2300, mankind colonized the nearest 7 star systems in two sectors. First occasional contacts with the Faeians and the Children of Gaal occurred, but for various reasons active relationships with neither the first nor the second were developed. More recently, mankind has finally managed to end the planetary and interplanetary wars and learn to live in peace. Unfortunately, space piracy and organized crime still terrorize the united humanity. The last major problem humanity has become TravelOrs invaded the human space 17 years ago. During the last years they successfully one by one occupied humanity systems. The attempt to establish contact with them failed, their communication systems were so strongly encoded and protected that it was impossible to deliver message. Just once the United Space Fleet of Humanity managed to meet the Travelers in a full-scale space battle, and at the moment of the highest triumph, when it was believed that the fleet of Travelers was defeated and Denebola would go down in history as a place of great victory, main forces of TravelOrs entered the battle. Human fleet was defeated in a couple of hours and while retreating humans lost two more systems. The situation became threatening, as from 7 original systems, humanity controlled only 3 in their original sector. They were completely alone with Travelers, a narrow channel of communication with the Faeyans and the Children of Gaal was blocked. Riots and demonstrations swept the worlds demanding the resignation of their governments that had allowed such a defeat. At this moment of weakness, TravelOr’s second largest attack on human systems started. After a month of heavy fighting, the remnants of the United Human Fleet retreated to Solar System. Humans returned to their home world and stood on the brink of complete destruction by an unknown enemy. For defense of solar system, recruitment into civil service of Rangers started. Volunteer pilots whose sole order was: "Fight and save mankind in any way."
